Permit Specialist

What will you do in our position?
As a Permit Specialist, you will be responsible for applying for environmental permits and/or taking care of and delivering documents to clients who submit the application themselves. You will decide with a team of Technical Advisors on the feasibility of getting the permit, but you will also arrange all related administration. You are very important to the Sales department and the project team. You check the input, you know how to avoid and/or identify risks and you think along in the solutions.
An important and brand new function within DCG.
An overview of your duties is:
- Understanding, monitoring and mitigating (project) risks in the field of environmental law, the legal framework and permit management. Identify which project decisions affect the permit process and how to anticipate them
- The successful completion of spatial planning and permitting procedures; you will collaborate in setting up a permitting strategy, understanding bottlenecks, identifying submission requirements and procedure times for planning purposes
- Proactively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
- Within the project, you take care of specific permits (issues) and creating the right support base
You will report to the Director of Projects and be employed at Directbouw in Klundert, Oude-Tonge or Coevorden, part of Dutch Cabin Group.
What do we expect from you?
Do you have extensive experience with spatial planning and permit procedures? And in addition, are you really a team player? Super! The following are just as important:
- You have a completed college education in the field of construction engineering, business administration and preferably 3-5 years of work experience in a similar position
- You are able to recognize permit issues and act effectively in them if necessary
- You can work well on projects and have a proactive drive
- You have an excellent command of both the Dutch and English language in word and writing
- You have a high regard for quality, are good at taking initiative and have a collegial and committed attitude
- You strive for continuous improvement and are flexible
